"UNDER THE SEA
ON BROADWAY"
August 18th - 22nd, 2011
The festival, which centers along Broadway Avenue, starts Thursday, August 18th, 2011. The theme this year is "Under the Sea on Broadway". Exciting and fun events include the Royal Mud Stomp, Mud Volleyball Tournament, parade, street dance, Bean Bag Tournament, Bike Run, Motorcycle Show, Glow~N~Bowl, horseshoe tournament, kid games, mustache contest, kid carnival, kiddie parade, arts & crafts, flea market, food vendors, carnival rides & games, car show, outhouse races, tractor pull and the Miss Heritage Days Pageant. The Heritage Days Committee consists of volunteers to plan the city's annual festival. Volunteers are always welcome. If you are interested in volunteering or have some new ideas, simply attend the next scheduled meeting held at American Motor Sports Bar & Grill (in the back room) in Cottage Grove on Tuesday, August 31st, 2011 at 6pm. This year the 4th and 5th graders at Pullman were asked to design the button that goes with the raffle. The design has been chosen and the winner is Gracie Penz Zaevo. By purchasing a button not only will you have a great keepsake, you will get into various venues at a discounted price or free. There will also be a raffle for many fantastic prizes including flat screen TV, camera, Kindle/Reader, cash and gift baskets with the button. Buttons will be sold at many local businesses throughout St. Paul Park and our candidates will also selling buttons at various events. The cost of the button/raffle is $5.00 per button. Buttons are now available at local businesses.
If you are interested in being a exhibitor at our Flea Market and/or Arts & Crafts show both events will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011. Please see the events tab for more information and application. We hope you will join us at our celebration!
